MEXICAN COUNCIL FOR HISPANIC BUSINESS
The Ministry of Economy along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have worked closely to strengthen the economic, politic and social relation between Mexico and the Hispanic community in the United States, actively participating year-by-year in forums and conventions through the Mexican Council for Hispanic Business
With the purpose of strengthening business relations, the Mexican Council for Hispanic Business was created in 1991. It's main objective is to establish coordination and communication between Mexican organizations, in order to promote business with Hispanic communities in the United States and to grant preferential access to Hispanic businessmen and professionals in the Mexican business structures. The Council also offers advice and valuable information about industry and commerce.
Institutions and Agencies integrating the Council
The Council is integrated by the most important public and private institutions dedicated to international business promotion in Mexico (ANIERM, ASERCA, BANCOMEXT, CANACINTRA, CANACO, COMCE, CONCAMIN, CONCANACO, COPARMEX, NAFIN, MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, PROMOTUR, SRE).
Main activities of the Council
Since 1996, the Ministry of Economy has represented the Council in the different Hispanic fairs and forums organized by the Hispanic Chambers and Associations:
It is important to underline that in the framework of each one of these participations, a trade mission of Mexican businessmen is organized with the support of BANCOMEXT and other members of the Council.
Since 1998 the Council, in coordination with the Mexican American Solidarity Foundation, organizes an annual business forum called “Acercamiento al Mercado Hispano de Estados Unidos y Canadá”, with the objective of learning about the Hispanic market in the Unites States and Canada, as well as organizing business meetings with the Hispanic community.
